Dentures can be used to replace all teeth, or some teeth (partial dentures).
It can either take support from your gums (tissue-supported), teeth (tooth & tissue supported), or dental implants (implant-supported). It can either be removable or fixed depending on its design and support.

TYPES :
Partial dentures:
Removable partial dentures replace some missing teeth by taking support from the adjacent teeth in the form of metal clasps or
pink arm-like extensions (flexible denture).
Complete dentures:
 Replace the entire jaw teeth set.

2. Implant-supported overdenture- REMOVABLE (minimum 2 dental implants in the Lower jaw, 4 implants in the Upper jaw)
These can be removed by the patient in the night, but remain seated in the mouth on implants with the help of small button-like attachments.
3. Implant-supported hybrid complete denture- FIXED (minimum 4 implants in Lower jaw, 4 implants in the Upper jaw)
These cannot be removed by the patient as they are fixed on implants, but can be removed by the dentists for repairs/as the need arises.
